Lumen: Nur Engine

LUMEN: Nur Engine — Respectful (Light in Quran) is a single-file browser experience about Light upon Light. It is designed as a calm, respectful reflection, not as debate or tafsir.

Intent: As stated in the intro: "For your wife — respectful, no images of Prophets, no cross, just Light." The game references Quranic themes of Light (An-Nur), Mercy, Gratitude, and Patience.

Core Loop:
The player gathers Nur (Light) by holding the prayer button or holding the E key. Base gather rate is 16 * (1 + taught stories * 0.22) * (Lamp owned ? 1.35 : 1) Nur per second, plus passive LPS from upgrades. Gathering emits soft pluck tones.

Teaching a story costs 15 Nur. Teaching increments taught count, adds 9-13% Understanding, and +2 Stillness. After teaching, the story's Flow is displayed step-by-step in the left Thoughts panel, followed by a reflective summary. Reward is +22 + taught*1.2 Nur and +0.18 LPS. Understanding and Stillness are clamped 0-100%.

Nur Stories — 10 Parables (Melodies):
Each parable is selectable as a melody and contains name, subtitle, verse reference, text, flow sequence, lesson, and musical scale:

1. An-Nur — Light upon Light — Niche, Lamp, Glass, Blessed Tree — Quran 24:35 theme — Flow: niche → lamp → glass as star → blessed olive tree → neither east nor west → oil would glow even untouched → light upon light
2. Good Word as Good Tree — Root firm, Branches in sky — Quran 14:24-25
3. Ar-Rahma — Mercy Encompassing — Bismillah, Rahman, Rahim
4. Sabr — Patience and Light — Prayer, Patience, Ease after hardship — Quran 94:6
5. Shukr — Gratitude Increases — Remember, Thank, More given — Quran 14:7
6. Layl to Fajr — Night to Dawn — Dark, Watch, Dawn breaks
7. Water Gives Life — From water every living thing — Quran 21:30
8. Mizan — Balance — Measure, Justice, Do not transgress — Quran 55:7-9
9. Dhikr — Remembrance Polishes Heart — Hearts find rest — Quran 13:28
10. Ihsan — Kindness to Parents — Lower wing of humility — Quran 17:23-24

Once taught, a story is marked as owned and struck through.

• Misbah — Lamp — 80 Nur: Reveals deeper flow, +0.4 Nur/s
• Hifz — Memory — 180 Nur: Holds more Nur and stories, +0.6 Nur/s
• Sakinah — Stillness — 350 Nur: Sets Stillness to 100%, calms, auto-remember
• Nur Scrolls — 600 Nur: Grants 10 reflections boost, +120 Nur

Audio System:
Four engines: NEY (breath reed), OUD (warm strings), RIQ (soft frame), CHOIR (hushed voices). Volume slider 0-100% (default 32%). Audio uses Karplus-Strong pluck synthesis with lowpass filtering (1600-2600Hz, bright for OUD). Music timer triggers every 0.52 seconds, playing a random note from the current parable's scale, transposed by engine type. Background canvas renders ✦·• glyphs at 14% opacity in teal.

Interface:
Top bar gradient teal to gold. Layout 300px left / 1fr center / 290px right. Left: Thoughts log, meters for Light, Understanding, Stillness, counts for taught and scrolls. Center: Transcript with messages from "LUMEN • listening — nur" and user prompts. Right: Engines, volume, Workshop upgrades, Nur Stories list.

Controls: Click intro to begin, hold button or E to remember, click story to teach, volume slider.

Technical: Single HTML file, no external assets, no save, WebAudio.

This build is entirely in HTML5 and based on a Unity prototype.
